Rachel Pearlstein, MSW, LCSWA

Hello and welcome! My name is Rachel, and as a therapist, I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space grounded in trust where you can work through whatever may be holding you back from living the life you hope for. I use evidence-based approaches such as psychodynamic and attachment-oriented therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic therapy to support you on your path. I am also a trained yoga teacher (RYT-500) and integrate somatic tools from my yoga background into sessions when it may be helpful to the therapeutic process.

I work with adults navigating CPTSD and the impacts of childhood trauma, including emotional neglect, attachment wounds, sexual trauma, and religious trauma, as well as the effects of growing up in families with substance abuse or mental illness. I also support individuals experiencing anxiety, dissociation, relationship challenges, and addiction. I am LGBTQ+ celebratory and committed to trauma-informed and anti-racist practice.

If you are struggling or suffering, you have a place here. I look forward to working together to help you live a fuller, more connected life.

What I Offer

How I Work

I use a blend of IFS (parts work), EMDR, and somatic (body-based) approaches to support healing not just intellectually, but emotionally and in the body. Together, we’ll explore how your past—especially early relationships and attachment experiences—may still be showing up in your life today.

We’ll go at your pace, creating space to feel, process, and understand both your struggles and your strengths, so you can begin to move out of old patterns and into a way of living that feels more aligned with who you are.

This work isn’t about “fixing” you—you aren’t broken, even though you may be struggling. It’s about helping you understand yourself more deeply, and reconnect with who you are beyond your symptoms, so you can live a fuller, more connected life.

Who I Work With

I work with individuals who are healing from complex trauma, including childhood trauma, emotional neglect, sexual trauma, and religious trauma. Many of my clients feel stuck in patterns they can’t quite explain—repeating dynamics in relationships, struggling with anxiety, low self worth and shame, or feeling disconnected from themselves and their bodies. If you’re ready to understand the roots of these patterns and begin moving toward a more empowered and full life, you’re in the right place.

What It's Like To Work Together

Therapy with me is a warm, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are and where all parts of you are welcome. Our work together is collaborative and paced with care—you won’t be pushed beyond what feels manageable, but you will be supported in going deeper when you’re ready. Over time, this can lead to feeling more in control of your life, less driven by old patterns, and more connected to yourself.
